There is a desire deep within every believer,a longing to please God. Not out of obligation, but out of love. Not out of fear, but out of reverence. And yet, the question often arises: How do I truly please God?
The answer is both simple and profound, by faith.
Scripture tells us in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
This means that pleasing God is not first about perfection, performance, or even outward works. It is about trust. It is about believing Him, at His Word, in His nature, and through every season of life. Faith is what honors God.
When we choose to believe God in uncertainty, we please Him. When we trust Him without having all the answers, we please Him. When we hold onto His promises even when circumstances say otherwise, we please Him.
Anchored in truth
Faith shifts our focus from what we see to who God is. There are moments in life where faith feels costly. Moments where obedience doesn’t make sense. Moments where waiting stretches the soul. But it is in those very moments that our faith becomes genuine, not dependent on feelings, but anchored in truth.
Pleasing God by faith means surrendering the need to control outcomes and choosing instead to trust His process. It means saying, “Lord, I may not understand, but I believe You.”
And this kind of faith does not go unnoticed. God responds to faith. He rewards those who seek Him, not casually, but diligently, with a heart that is fully persuaded of His goodness.
Faith is not passive. It is active. It moves us to pray, to obey, to persevere. It calls us to step forward even when the path is not fully clear.
And as we walk by faith, something powerful happens, we begin to know God more deeply. Not just as a concept, but as a present and faithful Father. Pleasing God is not about striving harder; it is about trusting deeper.
Choose right
So today, choose faith. Choose to believe beyond what you see. Choose to trust beyond what you feel. Choose to walk with God, knowing that your faith, however small, brings Him pleasure.
Because in the end, it is not the size of your achievements that pleases God, but the sincerity of your faith. And that is enough.
